Die Ger\u00fcchte gibt es schon seit langer Zeit. Nun wurde offiziell best\u00e4tigt, dass Uber seine Abteilung f\u00fcr autonome Fahrzeugentwicklung an einen seiner Konkurrenten „verkaufen“ wird. Verkaufen deshalb unter Anf\u00fchrungszeichen, weil Uber 400 Millionen US-Dollar in Aurora investiert, damit Aurora die Abteilung f\u00fcr autonome Fahrzeugentwicklung \u00fcbernimmt. Uber wird also in Wahrheit Aurora daf\u00fcr bezahlen, die Abteilung zu \u00fcbernehmen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der Grund daf\u00fcr sind Sparma\u00dfnahmen. Die Entwicklungs- und Betriebskosten f\u00fcr autonome Fahrzeugentwicklung sind enorm. Es gibt jedoch auch andere Faktoren. Uber bekam vor zwei Jahren eine negative Berichterstattung in der Presse, als ein autonomes Testauto einen Fu\u00dfg\u00e4nger t\u00f6tete. Deshalb m\u00f6chte das Unternehmen Uber nicht direkt mit autonomen Autos in Verbindung gebracht werden. Trotz Investitionen von Hunderten Millionen US-Dollar ist Uber weit davon entfernt den Traum von autonomen Taxis zu verwirklichen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Durch die \u00dcbernahme erh\u00e4lt Aurora ein starkes Team und eine starke Technologie, sowie Zugang zu mehreren M\u00e4rkten und Ressourcen“, sagte Chris Urmson, CEO von Aurora. Aurora wird mit dieser \u00dcbernahme eine der st\u00e4rksten Positionen bei der Entwicklung von autonomen Fahren einnehmen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
